Guest guest
Hi , Since you are using Eggs for your protein, I hope you won't mind if I send you these 3 Vegetarian type diets that Heidi suggested in one of her daily suggestions on the Dadamo site. That may help you more than what we meat eaters would be able to. Also, you might go to that site and at the bottom of her article for the day search for Vegetarian. It will show all the articles she wrote that deal with not eating meat. Eggs every day > Hi there! I have a question. I've been wondering about this for a long while now and thought it is long overdue that I ask it. > > I eat 2 eggs every day. It's my protein. But I'm wondering if there's something else I should be doing because I eat 2 eggs every day. I thought I read in one of these discussions that eating eggs every day isn't the best thing. Now I don't believe that stuff about cholesterol, but I'm wondering if I'm creating a defficiency of any kind, or an overload of anything else? I'm not sure what I'm fishing for here. I don't take a multi-vitamin or anything like that. I'm on a few supplements to help my liver and kidneys, but other than that... nothing extra. > > Where are and Axel, by the way. Guest guest
I didn't read the original message, but man, if you guys have not developed an allergy to eggs(usually whe]n cooked), congrats. I just can't savor a buttered scramble no more. sniff sniff. Mercola pushes the eggs, but only raw. Swallow. gulp. BTW, do ya ever down the red meat in a " red, bloody " form? I'm thinkingof putting my meat on a " differently cooked " rotation.....maybe a rare inbetween my burnt ember favorite form of steak every week or so. > In a message dated 2/10/2003 8:50:30 AM Eastern Standard Time, > bruce.doyle@s... writes: > > << I eat 2 eggs every day. >> > Me too. Guest guest
Absolutely! I can't stand the burnt charcoal stuff. My body much prefers the rare (even raw) beef. Guest guest
Wow. I don't get it, but I do recall overhearing a sous chef explaining to the patrons how he fed the dishwasher boys a filet mignon " .....seared quickly on both sides....served it, and it's just like BUTTER. " I'd have to see it to believe it. Here's what is going through my mind when i think " rare " beef: DISCOVERy CHANNEL....a scene on the african safari....various monkeys feasting & chewing apart the remains of a downed gazelle carcass...basically tearing & pulling at the meat off the bone with great strength folllowed by lots and lots and lots and lots of CHEWING....gulp. That's just too much work for me. Everytime i get the urge to eat pink, i'm overruled by something in my brain....some fear i guess. jb > In a message dated 2/10/2003 12:59:05 PM Eastern Standard Time, > ladyshave5@h... writes: > > << BTW, do ya ever down the red meat in a " red, bloody " form? >> > Always. Guest guest
Hi , One suggestion that comes to my mind is instead of having 2 eggs every day for your protein intake, you could have egg white one day and regular omega-3 eggs the other day. Egg white with shallots and light mozzarella cheese or goat cheese is excellent and very good source of protein. & Bruce Doyle wrote: > > Hi there! I have a question. Guest guest
To me blood red is work, but redish through pink is so much more tender than that or well done. When it is brown all the way through, beef is tougher to chew. Re: Eggs every day > Wow. Surely you must doctor them in some way. Why is everybody so down on eggs? They have all of the daily essential amino acids, no carbs, taste good, easy to cook, etc. They can be broiled, boiled, baked, fried, scrambled, poached, combined with nearly anything, etc. Is there something I'm missing? As long as we get a good, safe brand why are eggs any more worrisome than any other foods we buy in the grocery? When I am ravenous because I've been really busy or am too tired or too busy to prepare a standard O meal, I cook up a couple of eggs and throw in some onions, ground beef, spices (not garlic), etc, whatever, instead of ordering that pizza or going to the nearest fast food place. Guest guest
It's all good with me. I saw a savory egg & corned beef platter yesterday and kinda salivateda about it.....but i dont;' think it would satisfy me(in the end). Just what i've read....when you " pop " the yolk by frying it you will create omega-6 acids, so, if this concept bothers ya, do down some omega 3(fish oil) to counteract it. This came from mercola & /or the Dr. Eades' protein power book. But if i was to ever eat an egg again, it would HAQVE TO BE SCRAMBLED...with bacon. The diet doctors prefer you hvae it poached to prevent the omega-6 & free radical productions. But oh well. jb > In a message dated 2/10/2003 11:33:28 PM Eastern Standard Time, > ikinl@v... writes: > > << One suggestion that comes to my mind is instead of having 2 eggs every > day for your protein intake, you could have egg white one day and > regular omega-3 eggs the other day. >> > Egg whites taste like clouds by themselves.
