Guest guest
I love this group! I learn something new every day! Thanks to Don for the link to the Anti-aging and Adrenal gland article. I now know what to do to start my DH on the road to much better health. He is a B secretor status unknown, ( I just ordered the tests), but I suspect he is a non-secretor. Anyway he has a myriad of health problems, from Fibromyalgia to IgA deficiency. This article explained a lot. Now if I can just tuck him in by 10 pm! maybe if I shut the electricity off he won't have a choice! LOL. O.K. I do have some questions, being a newbie and an unsatiable learner! Where can I find out which grains are gluten containing? Specifically rice. We can easily do without the rest, but rice is a staple at my house. Also, why the clarified butter? What is the benefit? I can easily make my own - we used to make our own butter when we got fresh milk from the farm! Thanks to the post about that. As far as the diet being a " religion " , I know that when I first start something new I have to embrace it wholeheartedly to be successful. So, in order to live right, eat right, I need to change my lifestyle so much that I need guidelines and need to stick to those guidelines. Much like a religion, when you stray from the guidelines you will feel the repercussions. It is important to have the guidelines, but at the same time have our free agency to do as we will. It is up to us individually to decide how devout we are to the diet or religion and thus the benefits or blessings we reap. Thanks to all and especially Dr. D for sharing this lifestyle!
