Adrienne had a horrid time with stomach problems, throwing up daily until she

was put on Celebrex.

Celebrex has helped to allow Adrienne to return to a " normal " life. She

still has her bouts with fatigue and pain sometimes. But for the most part

she is doing well.

She has been on Celebrex for over 2 years now. The change is like night and

day for her.

Gastrointestinal problems are a classic symptom of ReActive

Arthritis, previously known as Reiters Syndrome. Irritable Bowel

Syndrome or Inflammatory Bowel Disease are often companion problems

of those with ReA and RS. A sister disease of ReA is Chron's with

Arthritis, also known as IBD with Arthritis. I have had IBS most

all of my life.

Larry,

Do a websearch and look for the Specific Carbohydrate Diet or SCD diet.

A lot of gastro problems can be eliminated by diet.

Ditto on what Ray said. I too have suffered from IBS (and I don¹t use

³suffer² lightly) for years, and have had episodic bleeding, and routinely

pass white blood cells.

RS is first and foremost inflammatory, and as such it inflames many, many

parts of our bodies; eyes, mucous membranes, internal organs, and in extreme

cases the heart.

I take Prevacid, and it does wonders for me. Even though I do, I still

sometimes have emergent problems that I just have to ride out.

You stated that Reiter's is inflammatory, but anybody know what is doing the

inflaming?

Larry, I'm just getting to your e-mail, sorry for the delay. What kind of

meds are you taking? Sometimes the meds can cause that problem.

The only thing that has helped my GI problems has been the methotrexate

injectible, except for the day after I take it. Otherwise, it has been a

godsend. I can eat almost anything again, like I used to.

Just my two cents worth. Kathy from WI
