Guest guest
Has anyone read " Superfoods Rx " ? Can you comment as to what the 14 super foods are and how they compare with the O foodlist? Just wondering. I see the book is sold at Costco and that it is a big seller on Amazon. The Amazon customer reviewers are claiming medical problems subsiding after eating the way the book recommends. So I was wondering if some of the food recommendations overlap with the BTD. Just curious about it.
Guest guest
I have not read the books but I went through the encyclopedia last night and found only 9 items that were beneficial for all blood types/secretor types. They are: Cod Black Walnuts Beet Greens Brocolli Collard Greens Kale Plums Olive Oil Green Tea Another 10 would get honorable mention, neutral in one secretor type, but beneficial for everyone else. Those are: Mackerel Sardines English Walnuts Manna bread Ginger Parsnips Cherries Black Cherry Juice Figs Parsley If you're socially conscious, you might think of these when entertaining or taking something to a pot luck. There are over 200 items that are at least neutral for everyone. This general list would still not include beef and I'd bet it's not on the superfoods list either. That's the problem with one size fits all diets. Cheryl > Has anyone read " Superfoods Rx " ? Can you comment as to what the 14 super > foods are and how they compare with the O foodlist? Guest guest
OK, my curiosity got to me. I found the list of superfoods in a review of the book, there's also a picture of the foods on the cover so the list is probably accurate. They are: oats soy yogurt brocolli salmon spinach pumpkin tomatoes beans blueberries oranges tea turkey walnuts Looks like a pretty wide spread of beneficials, neutrals and avoids for O's and only includes 2 of the foods that D'Adamo considers beneficial for everyone. Apparently there are sidekicks for each food, alternates. Maybe you could find a better fit for blood type among those. > > Has anyone read " Superfoods Rx " ?
