It is fun to have her home for a few weeks between quarters at school. Although... we rarely see her as she keeps late hours with her friends. It is wonderful to know she has such a fantastic network of friends who are currently home from school. She had an appointment with her Endocinologist and she has dropped over 13 pounds since her first visit with him and her levels are stable now, so she is now on a yearly schedule to see him instead of every six months. She has returned to a size 4, she had gotten up to a size 8 when she first saw him and that was from a size 1. I am so thankful she was refered early in her weight gain problems. Although that was just one of the symptoms that lead to the referal. So yes, life here is good right now! We even added a new little guy to the household. A miniture Wire Hair Dachshund. He is so adorable! Although...he still barks at ADrienne every time she comes into the room. Has not figured out that she really does belong here too. Adrienne is looking at going into nursing at the University. She had leaned towards medicine...but decided she wasn't sure her healthwould withstand the hours and demands of a physician or the years of schooling. She is leaning towards becoming an RN and possibly specializing in an area that may relate to one of her illnesses. Nurse Practioner and Physicians assistant are still possible too. Currently She is on a break from a movie she is filming. It is something fairly local that may be run as a B movie at some later date. And she just did a short film with some other friends that will go to a film festival this spring. I hope everyone else had a fantastic holiday and I wish all on the list could find doctors as wonderful as we have found for Adrienne. Guest guest
Hi K, <<...her levels are stable now>> That is GREAT! I can't imagine what it's like to have a child with these problems. It's bad enough having them yourself, but not your child. <<Adrienne is looking at going into nursing at the University.>> I think that's wonderful, although it will be a long haul for her. She's a toughie and I'm sure she'll do well. I think it'd be great for her to get into it so she can help others who suffer like we do. Good for her! Take care!
