I agree except for one thing. Doctors will do what they do best. Trauma

medicine. If you've got an arrow sticking out of you, a doctor can figure out

where to start.

This is only my opinion of course: We can¡Çt save the world (the way you

want to) simply because we are part of it. We can only save ourselves.

Once we all start loving ourselves then world changes. True change

starts in ones heart.

PS: as far as the future/doctor goes - in my vision I see no doctor.

Down the road we will take responsibility for ourselves which will

eliminate the need.

Re: --gas & fruit - & Save the Planet!

Hey hey! What a group!

I like to call it the Holy Trinity:

1. Food-combining

2. BTD

3. Mineralized " safe " drinking water.

In other words:

1. Foods eaten in the correct combination for optimizing

gastro-intestinal

function.

2. The correct foods!

3. Safe, healthy water.

Ability to digest and absorb the foods, the right foods and of course

good

water, which is a topic closely related to food.

On this topic, I think food-combining could be a powerful way to save

the

world. Food-combining is not just an auxiliary to the BTD, in essence.

The

idea is to shoot for health, to eliminate disease at the root and

restore

sanity to the individual (which has broader benefits). When I say

sanity, I

don't mean " sanity " in the traditionall, narrow sense. I firmly believe

the

states of mind are intimately connected to our bodies. In this respect,

food-combining is highly conducive to sanity, energetically,

metabolically,

sensitivity-wise, etc. Many of us (not necessarily us as the group of Os

and

occasional other 9q34ers) are almost entirely ignorant of our G.I. tract

and

how it works. Though food-combining seems like something for the weak,

people with weak digestion or other " problems " it really boosts anyone

with

the strength of mind to pursue it.

It also makes sense from the toxicity angle. On fat (adipose tissue) and

toxicity, food-combining is a perspective that explains low-carb diets

(most

of the meals are animal protein & fat without the carbs that cause

gastric

complications from improper food-combining) and helps us see something

true

in the argument for vegetarianism.

Although the great works written by Whitney and that D'Adamo

guy

make short mention of food-combining, it is there for the serious

reader/explorer nonetheless. The Great Whitney (and that

D'Adamo

guy) are the embodiment of what follows:

" The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his

patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and

prevention of disease. "

-- Edison

" Every tissue is fed by the blood, which is supplied by the intestinal

system. When the intestines are dirty, the blood is dirty, and so are

the

organs and tissues. It is the intestinal system that has to be cared for

first before any effective healing can take place. "

Dr Bernard Jensen, Ph.D.

Here's a good site:

http://www.sensiblehealth.com/

I like the food-combining given at this site:

http://www.hps-online.com/

You'll have to look under " Food & Dieting " button at the top. A number

of

sites I had collected with better graphics and simpler layout for

food-combining are now no longer active. Oh well. But we still have

" Medicine Man " !

Of course to learn the basics:

http://arbl.cvmbs.colostate.edu/hbooks/pathphys/digestion/index.html

What I mean about saving the world and food-combining is: if we

optimize

our digestive abilities and assimilate all we can from the foods we eat,

we

don't have to eat as much food. The effect on my body, personally,

beyond

eliminating the problem foods that cause metabolic insanity (ala BTD),

is

that my body, the active tissue mass, is no longer semi-starved for

nutrients and energy. There is a feeling of satisfaction, satiation that

I

never knew before. Of course, food-combining alone may not be enough for

many people. Looking at the hps-online site you'll see the mucoid plaque

problem which can build-up after years of eating the wrong combination

of

foods. So sometimes there isn't an easy, simple solution to a person's

problems. But slippery elm and bentonite clay are never far away, and we

know those figs got lots of fiber! Once the bowels are cleared and the

digestion is optimized, and we are eating the correct foods (BTD) we can

develop a strong, vital body that is open to more than we might have

thought

possible. The liver & gallbladder are also important, and the

sensiblehealth.com site is good for that. There is also a great site

called

curezone.com They're so hip they've even got a special area for the

blood-type diet, ER4YT.

I have noticed, compared to my previous self of youth to 21 years of

age,

that although my metabolism can get REALLY revved up (BTD knowledge gave

me

that power) I don't need to eat nearly as much food as I used to. I am

no

longer a glutton. Food-combining enables me to digest practically

everything

of everything I eat. This enables me to get more out of less. If

everyone

food-combined, no one would feel as hungry. If everyone food-combined,

we

could reduce the total amount of food consumption tremendously. This is

what

I mean by helping to save the world. The vegetarians may have some

points,

but if you look into food-combining and digestive function, along with

the

issues of the treatment of our food animals and their relationship to

the

environment/world & the nutritional differences between commercial meats

and

the more natural meats (from pseudo-free-range to organic to true

natural

diet grass-fed) you will see that the difference in ecological

significance,

health/consciousness & economic influence can make a huge difference in

where this world is going. And all of it comes down to the most simple

aspects of daily life.

Have a salubrious day!

I should clarify that: In the future we will remember that we don't have

to learn from pain, so an arrow would never be aimed at us or anything

else of that nature.
