Love to hear from the other non-secs on the list for ways they adjusted

accordingly when they discovered their status.

Started eating pinto beans again. Use Basil and Oregano more than I used to.

Threw out all of my white spelt flour and spelt pasta. Continued to not eat

soy. You can gargle more red wine since it's beneficial. Say good-bye to

almost all breads and grains.

I pulled up my online results today. I was shocked to see my nonnie status. I

always play with the odds so to speak so assumed I was a secretor. However, my

reaction to soy gave me a reason to wonder.

Ok, onto my LR book to update some of my thoughts on my status. I am going to

need a new wallet card-LOL.

Love to hear from the other non-secs on the list for ways they adjusted

accordingly when they discovered their status.

Thanks,

Joy

My condolances, but girl, you'd better be good. Lucky you have the

grass-fed beef, etc.

Ok, I already steer clear of grains- maybe 2 servings a week. The

occasional crust remnant from the kids. Won't be doing the spelt

bread anymore for those remnants. Had a piece of manna bread last

night with a pat o' butter but that was unusual.

I had begun to get off apples too. Went from like 5 a week to 2 a

week for some reason (it puzzled me at the time, now I understand).

Carrots became a favorite over the last couple of weeks also. My

body was maybe letting me know my status ahead of the lab. Cutting

down on my fruit servings might be hard at first since I was already

overconsuming as a " former " secretor.

I was eating my max meat allowance as a secretor so more meat rocks.

I have fallen short in the fish section so increasing that will take

more time.

So, more nuts are a good thing. I was laready exceeding my limit as

a secretor.

I was having maybe one serving a week of farmer cheese- but won't

really miss it. How about sheep's cheese?

This might be my area of downfall though. No sweeteners? We have

homegrown honey which helps my pollen allergies which have sprung up

after 11 years. I weaned off stevia well over 6 weeks ago- I was

sweetening cherry juice water with it. No sugar means no chocolate,

right? Hmmmm..... this might have to be a weekly treat but will

porbably fall to the wayside as most of my previous " treats " seem to

do!

Salad dressing- can I mix and store lemon juice, olive oil, and

garlic with fresh herbs from garden for a few days in the frigo?

I passed off my soy protein powder to my buddy visiting yesterday

(prior to report). We checked to find him as an O, and chances are

he is a secretor. Good teeth on this one.

Avocadoes! Yes. Glad to hear those are gone from avoid to bene!

So, I was not doing as well with my oils- not enough oils. Cutting

down servings and tranferring those to nuts and seeds will make me

about right now.

What a cool journey. I remember first reading food lists thinking, I

would hate to be a nonnie because of this and that, but it fits so I

am glad to know at this point!

Thanks Max. Red wine is an " avoid " for me still because I will

get " it is 5 o'clock somewhere " brain lectins upon consumption! I

might spruce up my salad dressing with it. Still cook with wine-

love it in beans. (Nobody else likes wine in beans, but I do.)

just planted Basil for the year.

Any idea about agave nectar as a sweetener for o-nonnies? I don't

currently use it, but my hubby and kids do.
