I have noticed any weather extreme makes me worse. Not only the fatigue but

the painful joints. But I much prefer the hot weather to cold. Since I

live in Texas that's a good thing. When our temps. get up in the high 90's

and above I stay in the house after about 10 in the morning. Also frozen

grapes are a great cool treat.

Hi Faye

Where in Canada do you live? You may have said but I was not paying attention.

I am out here in the boondocks of South Eastern Alberta.

Hi Ray

Well, we are in our hottest month of the year here in Tucson, AZ. June can

see temps of 110 degrees. Right now we are about 102 to 106. In july we

cool down to the 90s when the monsoons come.

I do worse in the heat, so I am inside with the air conditioning. Summer

makes me feel as dry as a bone. And my pain and stiffness is worse.

Moisture actually helps me more.

Is Mike Zehr still with us? He lives in Sierra Vista south of here and I

thought I remember that he did better when it was hot. So Mike Z if you are

still here let us know how you are doing as you are one of the old timers.

A long hot summer....

Thanks, Priscilla. 110 degrees? No thanks!

The heat got to me yesterday. I felt ill all day, but put in 11.5 hours at the

garden center. Drank lots of liquids. When I got home I showered and went to

bed. Stayed there until 8 AM this morning.

I decided that my symptoms were more related to chronic fatigue than anything

else. Since I've built up so much muscle mass recently I can keep going for a

longer period of time, but the end result is the same...12 hours or more

sleeping until I can go again. Seems my body just knows what it wants and

trying to ignore the fatigue is futile. Being cold affects me the same way.

Both extremes cause increased pain, too. Hooked up to the electronic stimulator

when I went to bed.
