,

I can remember being new on this list and all the help you and I think it

was Diane gave me. Have you tried sweet Brown rice flour? I wondered if it

or kamut flour would also work for the meat stick's? I've heard that Sweet

brown rice has a closer taste to wheat than even spelt. I know it seems to

work when I want to make a gravy. I don't know how your children would react

to it.

Lunch at school is horrendous with wheat pizza,,,

corn dogs yikes,,, sandwiches

The astounding thing to me is that after eating a carb/starch charged lunch

today's kids go back to class with no recess and the teachers wonder why

they're so unruly.

Max - we do not wonder why they are unruly, we know it is their diet and not

just the lunches. Most of my kids get junk at home too! Oh, and then there are

the school breakfasts - mostly sugar and wheat. Ask any teacher at my school

about the government subsidized lunches and you will get an ear full.

All to often in the economically disadvantaged areas, the only meals they get

are those provided at school.

Kate in sunny So. CA, winding down the school year (ends on June25th) and

gearing up for the next one at the same time (begins July 1st.).
