Janet, I think if your doctor writes a strong enough letter you can get it

approved. The doctor has to show that other people with similar types of

problems as you are taking Enbrel. I am pretty sure my doctor presented

information from the Enbrel trials done on people with our type of Arthritis to

the Insurance Company to get mine approved. It was a long hard battle to get it

approved. I think it took us almost a year. It is harder to get Remicade because

it is considered a treatment, not a drug. Who knows how they come up with this

formula. You need to get your doctor to write some strong letters and show any

type of research trials done with the Enbrel for your arthritis. You've heard

the saying the squeaking wheel gets oiled, well there is some truth to that.

Keep squeaking and get your doctor to squeak with you.I know that some trials

were done out in California with Ankylosing Spondylitis and Enbrel. I am

considered a Spondylitic variant, because I show symptoms from both AS and

Reiters. I think most of us are like that. Good luck, and do not give up. I know

it can be very frustrating, but just keep going at it.
