The doctor I worked for was also a " medicaid/Title 19 " participant and just recently gave up his participation (he might as well treated patients for free) because he had told us not to take anymore medicaide patients and was afraid he would get into trouble. Guest guest Posted April 15, 2001 Report Share Posted April 15, 2001 Group, Maybe this (he might as well have treated them for free) is why no Dr, after twenty some of them and 17 years worth, have never bothered to " check " everything possible to find what was wrong with me. It certainly is not the fault of the patient that the only Insurance carrier available to them cheats them out of money. Its one of those catch 22 " things " as had I been properly treated and this terrible disease found and " fixed " many years ago I wouldn't still be on Medicare. Oh yes, I supposedly understand how a Dr wouldn't want to work and not be paid but it is not the fault of the patient nor should the patient receive shoddy care because of it. Just another example how such a sad state of affairs this world has become, sure makes me not sad that someday soon I will be leaving it(No, I am not thinking of hurrying it along) but I am sure glad I won't be around in 50 yrs to see how bad it becomes. It's concerns hair growth and prednizone. has been taking pred. for 2 years and has no hair under his arms, and losing hair on his head rapidly.(He's Irish,so not much hair to begin with ) He is currently in NYU awaiting a liver. Status2A and holding.But whats the story with the no hair. When I get to the hospital after a train and a bus, I forget to ask. There is however, so much more info here. Hope someone knows. Imuran has caused me to loose my body hair (including under my arms). I love those, too! I just realized today that spelt is an avoid for non-secretors. Thought I would mention that for any other nonnies who were reading all those yummy-sounding spelt recipes. I made kamut biscuits this weekend and they were pretty darn tasty considering that I used no milk.
