Guest guest
Priscilla, Yes, I have a whole stretching routine to help control muscle pain and stiffness for both Fibromyalgia and low back/SI pain. If I didn't do my stretches every day, I wouldn't be able to move! I learned some of them in PT, and some of them from my Fibro support group leader, who is a personal trainer. There are times, though, when I do the piriformis stretches, that I'm rubbing the muscle as I'm stretching because it's so tight. The exercise that gives me the best stretch, but usually ends up being the one I have to do the rubbing, is when I pull one knee up acrossed my chest, with the other leg straight out. I hold my knee with one hand, and rub with the other! Ironically, most of my piriformis pain is on my left side too. Jen
