Guest guest
Funny you say that Lowell. My " Mama " (Grandmother) is 85 and still alive. She works, she dances. she sometimes has to show her Senior Cit.'s ID to get discounts on things coz people don't believe she's old!!! She has outlived 3 husbands. The only injury I ever know her having was a couple of years back coz she was moving her 50 year old neighbour's mattress while her neighbour stood back and watched!! (She put her hip out but it's fine now.) She doesn't take any supps and has a glass of wine every night. I wonder if it's something to do with the minerals or something in her diet??? Anyone heard the tape " Dead Doctors Don't Lie " ? JK Re: Sesame Seeds/Re: Calcium I have read that supplementing calcium is not necessary and that in cultures that do not drink milk or supplement that they have the same incidence of osteoporosis. in fact there is more in N.America than elsewhere perhaps because we do not walk! Or other factors..who knows for sure. Osteoporosis is a big industry and there are a lot of untruths. What the truth is I do not know but I do know that my mother never took HRT or had much milk and certainly no calcium pills. She lived to 89, fell many times late in life and never broke anything. Genetics? On the otherhand, we lived in Hungary in 1976 for a year and there were a lot of very bent over women from osteoporosis - probably from very poor food during the war? This is an area for a lot of research. No clear answers. Ann RE: Re: Water > > > ....
