Guest guest
I had a bone scan done in April 1999, age 46, and it showed some osteopenia so I began taking calcium supplements (with magnesium), 1500-2000 mg calcium daily per my test and was supposed to be retested in one year which has not happened yet, changing doctors, health insurance etc. I also do know that I have spurs on my neck as well as a bulging disc in my neck and confirmed arthritis in my left knee. I switched to the Phytocal and will continue when finances allow and hope to get another scan done soon. It appears that my lumbar spine is no longer straight. We are currently checking out if valtrex brought my HSV 1 & 2 readings back into normal range and checking some thyroiditis readings requested by my neuro-opthamologist (due to my possible glaucoma that may be lyme induced) that were off the chart as well as some Lyme readings from my FL doctor that my PA doctor cannot duplicate. I no longer drink milk due to the type O, am a secretor, and am hoping to return to being 100% compliant to HB foods and take more of the type O supplements again when finances improve, we had to move my daughter and my two young grandsons up here in November without notice and its been survival since and thru the holidays. The article Ann found and posted below obviously was one of the more popular ones as you can find it on the following url: http://www.nexusmagazine.com/Osteoporosis.html I have found it very interesting and perhaps many others will also. Thanks for the reference Ann. Hugs, Michele Re: Re: Water > At one time I was a big consumer of diet coke so have worried about the effects of it. My bone density was very high also until after menopause when it dropped. > > I was very interested when I came across an article in Nexus magasine re the myth of osteoporosis. It was at www.nexusmagazine.com and was article volume 5 #6. Oct/Nov 98. I just tried to bring it up and could not so it may have been deleted by now or the site just down at the moment.
