I had posted that " I think " the albacore tuna is supposed to be fairly safe.

Someone may know something else or it should be researched.

Last month, someone posted about a kind of canned tuna that doesn't

have the mercury problems of standard tuna because the fish were

either lower on the food chain or just younger and therefore not

eating the larger contaminated fish. I can't find that post now.

can anyone help me out?

Shortly after you posted that last time I read that albacore tuna is

the highest in mercury. I think in the article light tuna was

consider better.

Right off hand I don't remember the source of the information. I

will try to find it. I would light to know what the correct answer

is.

If I remember rightly, Vital Choice is the best tuna. I remember because

several months ago several of us decided to split a case in a coop order.

This has got me really wondering. It's a whole new area I've not heard

about. I was aware that there were some foreign people (Japanese I think) who

ate

fish caught in waters polluted by factories but never saw any evidence of that

in the US. I know mercury concentrates in fish and animals if it's present

in the water or environment. Is there some hidden mercury poisoned patient

sanitarium I don't know about or something? Hey, I've been clueless before so

is

everybody turning into thermometers or what?

It has been 20 or more years ago they traced mercury to canned tuna that was

causing damage to fetuses.

And the new mercury trouble -- it is used as preservative in vaccinations and

may be contributing to the very rapid increase in autism.
