Dawn, I am sorry to hear about your friend. Our Father, we pray in the name

of your Son Jesus that you would bless Dawn's friend and give her the ease,

comfort and peace that only you can give during this very difficult time. We

pray that you ease her pain. We also pray for her family and friends and

especially her friend Dawn that you give them the gift of your peace and

comfort as they prepare themselves for the loss of the dear loved one,

Suzanne. Comfort them with the fact that Suzanne will awake in a far better

place that is filled with love and joy that never ends and she will see our

Lord face to face. We thank you for your sacrifice that made this possible

and the fact that life-everlasting is a free gift from you and comes with a

guarantee that nothing or no one can or no power take Suzanne from your care

or out of your hands. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend hon...

My best friend from childhood had lymphoma and they told her after about 6

months of treatment..that she had maybe six months to live... in two weeks

she was gone...... Also my birth-mom fouond out she had a tumor growing

right off her heart and they gave her 10 days....and that's how long it

was..... So I totally empathise with you, Dawn.. She's lucky to have such

a loving and supportive friend to share her last hours. I pray you have

the strength you need for the days ahead and that God will soothe her

pain.

Hi All,

I want to take this time to thank each and every one of you who took the

time to pray for my Suzanne and to post it. I also want to thank those who

emailed me off the list. You all are a GREAT bunch of people and I love all

of you.

Thanks for the really nice prayer, Matt. That was nice of you.

I didn't get to talk to Suzanne today, but talked to her nurse. Suzanne

wasn't up to talking, but the nurse was GREAT. She took a message from me to

give to her brother and then took a message from me to give to Suzanne. She

was VERY comforting with me.

Thanks and with much love,

Dawn

Dear Dawn, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend as well as the severe

depression that you have been experiencing. I lost a friend under similar

circumstances a few years ago. I still think of her so often and miss her. She

also died of breast cancer. It was widespread by the time that it was

diagnossed. We had taught together and our daughters were best friends. I

understand your helplessness. My friend lived nearby. I was able to offer

support to her and her family but still felt helpless. In spite of the cancer

having spread to her bones she survived for five years following her diagnosis.

She returned to teaching from a wheelchair. She amazed everyone with her

determination. I'll pray for both you and your friend.

Kay

Hi +Dave,

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to write, but I want to thank you for the

prayers. I know that she is no longer suffering nor in pain. She is now a

precious memory and my 'guardian angel.'

Thanks again, +Dave.

Love Dawn

Hi Kay,

I'm so sorry for the delay, but so much has been happening in my life. The

depression is getting worse, we now have our grand daughter back, I haven't

been able to grieve for my friend, Suzanne, etc. It's just been rough.

Suzanne died of lung cancer, not breast cancer. She didn't smoke,

drink...nothing. I guess the old saying is true...'the good die young.' She

had ovarian cancer in 1989 and it spread thru her body over all these years.

She ended up having brain cancer also, but the radiation got it all,

surprisingly enough. I wish I could have been with her, but it just wasn't

to be. I have my memories and somehow need to time to grieve so I can go on

with my life.

I just found out that in 1999 X-rays of my back showed that my whole lumbar

is fused and it was working its way up my back. The doc now thinks that it

is probably past the middle of my back and heading for the cervical area.

I'm SO upset due to ALL the doctors I've seen since 1999, they all have told

me that women don't get AS and that I absolutely, without a doubt, don't

have it. And here is this X-ray report showing that I do have it. I'm so

upset over this. At least I now have a competent doctor. She said that all

she can do for me now is to give me the meds that will work for me and just

to keep me comfortable. That's pretty sad for someone as young as I am. I'm

not ~that~ young by any means (42), but I still have a life ahead of me that

I could be living. It's no wonder I've had the pain where I've been having

it...it explains a LOT of things now. Weird, huh?

I hope that you are doing well and that you're able to get to OK or wherever

your daughter rides her horse. You are lucky to be able to get out of this

state and go somewhere else at times! Just take care and be good to

yourself.

Again, I'm sorry so late in replying...life just hasn't been the best for

me.

With love,

Dawn
