Thanks. It seems to be correct in what it says and it does not say corn

strips calcium from bones. It confirms that corn is used instead of more

nutritious food that would have had better nutrient value.

What is says about the introduction of corn (maize actually - a large

white version that is less sweet, also called mielies) in Africa is also

true - Pellagra is a serious and common protein deficiency disease there

- and it is because the native people are eating maize instead of meat,

and not getting the protein they need.

Nutrition is a matter of attention to the detail of each necessary

ingredient and quantity of it that is needed. It doesn't work to just

eat what's around :-)

As I said, I was looking for other information and found this. I

didn't say it mentioned the whole corn and calcium stripping

thing. It doesn't confirm your point either.

I thought that was the topic :-) It was your assertion about " corn

stripping calcium from bones " that you were trying to back with facts.

I'll then assume this is a fallacy and drop it. Okay?

It doesn't contradict anything I said if that's what you mean. But if

your objective is a points competition, I'll politely bow out of the

dialogue with you, as that's not what I am about.

So far I have tried to post better information than we had before, and I

hope to continue to do that.

I'm sorry if you do not like it or want it. Please feel free to delete

my posts.

If you look at the subject line of this email, it wasn't about

the corn stripping. So no, this wasn't an attempt to back up my

assertion.
