Guest guest
Hi Liz, << That's where my spasms are and gets so I can hardly walk around---feels like my whole back is just twisted in a huge knot.>> When I get spasms in my lower back, they are SO bad that I can't move, breath or talk. My husband knows just what to do so I can get a little bit of relief. He gets me my meds and puts my 'bed buddy' on my back. The 'bed buddy' is my life saver and if any of you out there don't have one, you should get one! You put it in the microwave and it emits moist heat. Moist heat is what we all need...not dry heat as it just makes matters worse. But, I know how you feel Liz when you get them spasms. My doc says mine is due to the FMS. Take care! I blew my last one up in the Dear Beverly, I bought one several weeks ago at Walgreen', if that helps. If I were you, though, I'd call first to be sure they have some in stock. CelticJade (Judy D.) Guest guest
> What is a bed buddy? > Pris Dear Pris, The bed buddy is a pack filled with some kind of natural beans or beads of some kind. When you heat it in the microwave for two minutes, it stays warm for up to an hour, providing moist heat to whatever sore part of your body you put it on. It comes with a large elastic strap so that you have total freedom from any cords while you walk around with it strapped onto your back. Pretty neat little item! It's the only place I've ever found them, although I've had mine for 11 years now and I got it at Millikens, but I've seen them all the time at Walgreens. Sorry to hear you blew yours up! That doesn't sound good. Take care, Dawn
Guest guest
Hi Dawn, I had one that had spices in it and I put it in the microwave for too long because I like it hot when I go to bed. It is a comfort on those aching creaking joints. I think what I actually did was overcook the herbs because it sure semlled like an electrical fire. My family always called it my stinky because they never could stand the smell of it but this time I knew I had ovecooked it. It had velcro belt so you could attach it around your waist and work around the house or have it positioned where you need it. Thanks for the tip. I have to get a new one and will try Walgreens.
