Guest guest
Hi Connie, I've been getting prescriptions by mail order for a couple of years. I can get three months worth for the same co-pay as one month from the local pharmacy. At first I was frustrated by it but now I have come to think of it as a convenience. I order the prescriptions online. They are sent quickly. I use Merck-Medco by the way. If I am out of refills they will fax my doctor to renew my prescription. Sounds like you are enjoying your puppy. I have a 13 year old dog with arthritis. His hind legs are becoming weak. Recently he was in extreme pain and cried out when he tried to get up. " Blue " is a German Wirehaired Pointer. He is a tough old fellow so I knew he was experiencing a lot of pain. The vet came to our house because he was in too much pain to try to get him in the car. I thought for sure that she would tell me it was time to put him down. Instead she said it was a bad time of year for arthritis (it was November). She gave him a shot of Depro-Medrol. It worked wonders. He is on prednisone every couple of days now. It has bought us a little time. Our pets help to keep us active, I think. I have a Brittany that I'm doing agility with. I'm not fast but Copper tends to pace himself to my speed. It is very challenging but fun. Not only does agility require movement, you also need to think quickly in doing a course. That is probably the most difficult thing for me. I'm a strong believer that if you don't use your mind and body, you lose it. For me, my dogs have always motivated me to stay active. There is a picture of me and my old Blue (when we were both younger) on the RISG website. There is a picture of Copper and me on the site.
