says....However as time goes by we get better tools to manage our

condition. I

Me, too, . We have a host of drugs that help relieve our symptoms. 50

years ago, my Auntie never had a correct diagnosis and had little in the way

of drugs to fight her symptoms. We believe she had AS. Everyday....we get

closer to more help and we have learned the reason for our disease (the genetic

link/triggers). I have lived to see the anti-TNF drugs, plaquenil,

methotrexate, pred forte, pain medications, etc. come into view. These have

been a real

break-through for many of us. All drugs have their side effects, but to many,

it has given us back some quality to our lives, at least, for awhile. I'm

sure, as time goes on, there will be more and they will perfect the drugs they

have and they will become cheaper to buy. We need to remember that

pharmaceuticals/healthcare play politics and we need to think of that when it

comes

time to vote. This is one way to put pressure on our government to help us.

Like any of the products that come to the market place, including

pharmaceutical drugs and alternative or complimentary supplements and herbs,

there will

be corruption/graft/greed. However, I draw the line on doctors, and for the

most part, researchers. Very, very few of these professionals are " out to get

us. " We've had our exceptions ( ll drugs), but I don't think the majority

of our researchers alter the results of tests to benefit their company. If

people lose respect or confidence in the good will of the medical profession,

we are in deep trouble. I know, from personal experience, what they have to

endure for our benefit. Yes, they are paid well, but..... there are few jobs

that require 24/7 (around the clock), full attention to the health of us all

and when we get " really " sick, each one of us will be thankful for the

knowledge and experience they have.

I was involved with one of the Humira research projects, and they were

exceptionally good at keeping correct records.... from what I could tell. I

think

most of these companies don't want to engage in future law suits from any bad

information they might keep hidden. I think most will tell you...up

front....what precautions or side effects the drugs will give you. It is up to

us

and our doctors to weigh the side effects to the benefit we can expect for any

medication he prescribes.

I'm like Analia. I would like to side with the positive side of humanity.

Best regards, Connie (granny)

PS. Re: the bowel problems. I have IBD (constant diarrhea) and taking the

narcotics....is a blessing to me!!!! Narcotics are known for their

constipation side effect. ;-)

Hi

Although it sounds like this should work for many things, it doesn't.

This therapy was thought to be the " cure " for breast cancer as well,

had one friend go through it, turns out it's not done for breast

cancer anymore because it doesn't work. A very rough treatment to

endure it is lethal in a small number of patients.

There is research being done related to this, a number of institutions

are looking at how to reset B cells which hopefully would " unlearn "

our immune response anitbody " memory " and let it start over again.

Whether it will pan out or not is for the future to decide.

As far as " cure " , I really don't know about seeing that in our

lifetime. The genes in our cells would have to be changed to effect a

true cure.

However as time goes by we get better tools to manage our condition. I

am very thankful I am living now rather than 50 years ago!

your entire immune system including the bone marrow, and then

introduce bone marrow from a healthy person, and allow your body to

grow an entirely healthy and different immune system. Why will this

not work for us?

Weisman from Cedars Sinai (who is heading this study) is talking about some sort

of gene replacement?? In the next few years. You never know and you cannot

give up hope.....can you??

I recently found out that I didn't have Reiter's and was toxic. It would

behoove you severely to look into getting ozone treatments and such. I have

been pain free for almost four months. It was well worth the money that I

spent. I only wish I knew then what I know now. I could have saved myself

from years of morphine and hydrocodone use. I'm over a month into

withdrawals and still feel like I want to blow my head off, but I know that

this too shall pass. My doctor gave me another catapress patch today to stop

the cold sweats from withdrawal. I'm soooooo glad to be off the pain

pills...I'm sure all of you know that they aren't any fun when you have to

take them. I never abused the pills, but three years is a long time to be

on pain medication. I keep telling myself that I didn't get here overnight

so it won't go away overnight.

As far as your inflammation goes, mine was at 20 when it should have been

below .8. Toxicity problems can cummulate within your joints as a gas

causing severe pressure and high inflammation levels. It costs me here(in

Alaska) $150 everytime I go in for an ozone treatment. Look around and

see what you find. I only had one when the pain went away. There wasn't one

traditional doctor that could find the source of my inflammation. I underwent

so many tests and the only things that they found were elevated liver enzymes

and inflammation through the roof. We just decided to try the ozone treatment

and the pain hasn't come back. I hope and pray this for you. I wouldn't wish

on my worst enemy what I went through. Acupuncture is something else that

we are doing now too.

I hope that this helps you. I would try this before spending too much money on

more tests. God Bless and I'll be praying for you.

I am sorry to hear about your boy. My daughter is 7 years old and she started

having some G.I. problems..... I begged for her to be tested and she was HLA -

B27 negative. I know that is really does not mean much but I feel for you. The

web site again for the Rapid Response is www.amerdon.com . Good luck!

I took this from my doctor's web page at:

http://www.comprehensivemedicine.net/ . I hope that this helps some of you.

This would be the type of natural doctor that you would want to see. I had

only one ozone treatment when I went out of pain. I have had several since

then, but I remain pain free for the time now. My problem may have been a

toxicity problem or could have been caused by the Cipro that I was taking 3

years ago. Who knows...??? Anyway, I hope that all of you can use this info.

Please let me know if this is helpful for any of you. I'll be praying for

all of you. God Bless!!

Jackie

MEDICAL OZONE THERAPY

Ozone was first discovered in the late 1800's. The first uses of ozone were

technological, with the most common being purification of water.

Ozone has the unique property in that literally all microbes are

susceptible to its oxidizing powers, without any chance of resistance.

Because of these remarkable antiseptic qualities, ozone was used

successfully during the World War I to treat wound infections.

In the 1930's and 1940's ozone was commonly used in American

hospitals. Even today ozone is frequently used to disinfect the air of

operating rooms.

In the early 1950's widespread use of ozone to treat various medical

conditions began in Germany and it has been there that ozone has been

extensively evaluated and researched.

Germany, Russia, Cuba, and Canada employ the use of medical ozone in

many applications, and treat millions of people.

Medical ozone therapy is common throughout Europe, and its use has

been spreading in the US over the last 15 years.

OZONE EFFECTS ON THE IMMUNNE SYSTEM

Ozone is potent regulator of the immune system. This occurs through

ozone's effect on white blood cells. White blood cells are integral in the

functioning of our immune system.

White blood cells can secrete hormones called cytokines. Cytokines are

potent messenger hormones which allows them to affect multiple immune

pathways. There are currently over 100 different cytokines that have been

identified.

Medical Ozone can strengthen a persons immune system and help them

fight off current infections (bacterial, viral, or fungal) and help prevent

them from getting future infectoins.

OZONE EFFECT ON OXYGEN IN THE BODY

Ozone stimulates increased uptake and utilization of oxygen. This

occurs by stimulating enzymes (diphosphoglycerate, s.o.d., gluthathione

peroxidase).

DPG enables the release of oxygen from red blood cells so that it can

be taken up into our cells. SOD and glutathione peroxidase are used by our

mitochondria (cell components that make energy for our cells in the body) in

our cells where oxygen is processed for the release of energy.

Virtually all persons with chronic disease have a significant

deficiency of these enzymes.

Ozone is the most potent inducer of these enzymes that has ever been

discovered.

Research studies have shown that in patients treated with ozone,

oxygen utilization can be improved as much as 30-40% in various chronic

conditions.

OZONE IMPROVES CIRCULATION

Ozone can affect circulation by enhancing what is called the

rheological properties of the blood. Rheological refers to the flow

characteristics of blood as a liquid.

Ozone by affecting the rheological properties of blood enables more

oxygen being carried by red blood cells to reach the capillaries (the small

arteries in our peripheral tissues) where ultimately the cells will receive

more of the oxygen they require.

Many patients with chronic conditions, especially those with

inflammation (like CFS, fibromyalgia, and rheumatoid arthritis), have severe

compromise in circulatory flow associated with abnormal rheological

properties such as rouleax (stack of coins, where red blood cells form in a

stack like formation of coins).
