Guest guest
Donna- I have had AS for about10 years and I am also HLA-B27 negative. I was told that even if HLA-B27 was negative, other labs and x-rays were enough to diagnose it. Annette
Guest guest
Isn't the Schonberg test done for Lyme disease? What other diseases is it used for?
Guest guest
Hi All, I'm finding this thread quite interesting. When I first joined the list years ago, and if memory serves me correctly, I think me & Ray were the only ones on the list that were HLA neg. I can't believe how many on this list are negative now; mainly females. I have ReA, AS, FMS, CFS, IBS, GERD, Sjogrens, Connective Tissue Disorder and the list goes on. They believe that I got sick through Salmonella posioning and auto-immunity runs in my family (my mom died of MS at a young age). I'm kind of curious of those who are neg. how you got sick. Take care all, Dawn
Guest guest
I don't know if I am HLA pos or neg myself.. never been tested. I do know that I believe I got Reiter's after a miscarriage in 1984. I had not had any STD's or bowel infections at all. Guest guest
I have no idea how I got sick...I just developed pain after my first pregnancy 2 years ago. Then it went away. Then it came back with a vengeance during my last pregnancy (especially in the last 5 months). I delivered a baby girl 1 month ago and was diagnosed 3 days after the birth as I was in severe excrutiating pain and couldn't get out of bed. I just found out I'm HLA-B27 negative but my x-ray shows severe " sclerosis and erosions " of my sacroiliac joint. However, I have pain in all my peripheral joints. Now I " m finding Vioxx is working...with occasional use of T3. Donna
