Guest guest
Hi, I'm I've posted before, so here's my question. Do Reiters sufferers and other autoimmune arthritis sufferers have more pain in cold and damp weather? I live in Connecticut and it seems to me my symptoms are most acute when the temp is between 28 degrees F and 47 degrees F and the weather is very damp. Some days I have to cover my legs in three quilts, take advil and lie down for a few hours after work to reduce my pain and fatigue to a barely tolerable level. Yet even if it rains, if it is above 50, I am fine. I was in Florida last week, despite the daily rain my body aches were almost non-existent. Back here in Connecticut, each day, my pain has been relentless. The weather parameters are exactly as I described above. This year has been the worst I can remember for pain due to the consistent damp, cold, weather. Last year was better due to the fact that the temperature stayed below freezing for long periods of time. Consistent below freezing temps due not effect me, I guess the moisture freezes out of the air and leaves it dry. I am seriously considering relocating to warmer weather. Has anyone else have experiences to back up my observations? Garasimowicz, Reiters, HLA B-27 positive Maniac Tech Ed teacher
