Guest guest Posted February 19, 2004 Report Share Posted February 19, 2004 Hi, I some of u may know that I hav reiters, and hla b27 pos, in oct had two arthroscopies on my painful knees, to try and find out what was going on with them, turned out that I hav no cartledge behind knee caps, and also my knee caps were pulling to the right of each leg (out of enlignment) Ive also in nov 2003 had a Spinal op, having 4 bolts inserted, as the Reiters it seems ate away at my two lower discs...most depressing, and the recovery of both Ops has been traumatic, due to the Fatigue, along with the op pain, and my arthritis.......My specialist said regards my knees that I must hav hydrotherapy, and exercise my knees, to strengthem the Quads.....specialist reckons this will bring my twisted knee caps back into line!!Also to exercise and get my back strong, which I hav been doing for the last two months...I go to hydro twice week, and exercise my knees lots at home, with back exercises, Now the nice thing is, it seems the Knee exercises are working because the knee pain has gone...going.....I walked on and off today and day b4 yest for 2 hours..... with the children(its half term)....I felt great............Anyway, be it only temporary, or maybe Im now in remisssion at long last, I wanted to share this Positivity amonst U all!! :) take care all ...jill x Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
