Dear ,

I get that too and in both knees! It seems worse if I sit with the knee bent

for awhile or if I sit with my legs crossed. It pulls tight when I first get

up, but I can still walk on it. I'm not sure what it is either, but my doc said

its probabaly tendonitis, which he says causes the rib pain too. I also get

it after alot of exercise (like cleaning the house entirely)! It's annoying but

it hasn't stopped me from doing anything yet....I hope when it gets warmer

and I can do more exercise I can strengthen that area. I don't have any

particular joint troubles either, but I just get achy all over.

Debra!

Hi, ,

Yes, my muscles, ligaments, and tendons are nearly always tight and/or

inflamed. Stretches do help and I recently bought a book that describes

exercises for people with arthritis, and some target AS.

Hi

My experience tells me that some of these streching exercises are easily

practiced under warm waters.

I gave up doing them at home because of the cold and lack of relaxation.

I have a house full of kids and pets.

I guess I'll have to give up teaching, because I am not able to correct

tests, to write on the blackboard, to do school registers and so on. My

elbow is killing me. However, I hope God helps me to finish my graduation on

helping and teaching " special " children with learning disabilities and

imparement.

Actually, I do not do them in water (although I'm sure it would help). I

do some initial stretches and then move onto the strengthening

stretches. Sometimes, my body reacts badly (i.e., increased pain), while

other times I do just fine. When I asked my rheumatologist about this,

he suggested that I reduce the amount I do at one time. Presently, I'm

giving that a try.

I do hope you feel better soon.
