Dear Joy,

I am relatively new to this group and I don't know you, but I wanted you to

know that I will keep you in my prayers. I do hope that 2004 brings less pain

and suffering, and more happiness to all of us.

Joy, our hearts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. You

have had more than your share of troubles during the last month. We pray that

God will give you and your family His peace and His comfort during this

difficult time of grieving for your lost loved ones. We also pray that He will

help

you to continue to recover from the flu and we ask that He will provide the

medical care and the health insurance you need. At the same time we ask that He

look after all your and your family's needs and that He richly bless you and

your family with His hope and His love and His abundence both now and in the

future. In Jesus' name. I know how hard it is to lose a parent. Take whatever

time you need and do whatever you need to make your life easier. God bless,

Matt

Joy,

Your December will always be one that brings pain to your heart, but it is

over and January will begin the healing I hope. May God bless you and bring you

relief and some happiness this year. We are all praying for you and thinking of

you. Sincerely, Debby

,

I am so very sorry that you had such a streak of bad luck. There are a few good

things about it though:

-you WILL learn how to cope

-it probably won't get any worse this year, anyway, so you got the worst over

early

-you have a few hundred friends here who wish the best for you and will hope and

pray that you won't have too much trouble existing till your passport and cc are

replaced

Love and cyberhugs!

Joy,

I'm so sorry. When it rains, it pours, doesn't it? I pray that your Dad is

at peace with the Lord and that the Lord will bring you peace and better

times in the New Year.

God Bless,

Janet in San Francisco

, I'm so sorry! Forgot to warn you, on my husband's last trip to

China, he had money stolen out of his briefcase--couldn't even remember

putting it down. And, two years ago, a friend's money and passport were

stolen--from her hotel room as she slept there. The less economic control

in the country, the less social self-control apparently. Can you get your

passport replaced at the consulate in Chengdu, or do you have to go to

Shanghai? Do you have a place to stay and eat? If not, where are

you? Last I heard, I still had friends in Kunming, and am sure they would

take you in if I can find them. Let me know if you'd like me to search! --bc
