Guest guest
I may be wrong but I believe that spirulina (a blue-green algae?) is an avoid!...Correct me if I am wrong someone please... I'm asking cuz I saw an ad in a magazine for Spiru-tein protein powder and I thought it might be a nice alternative to Rice protein powder. Guest guest
Hey Bonny! Spirulina is an avoid, chlorella is ok. I do have all items from new chapter and nap except the multis/probiotic. FYI, I worked for the vitamin shoppe for 7 years or so. love http://www.foodforyourblood.com Alternate protein powder Hi Everyone! I have a question: Can O's, particularly O-ns, use spirilina? I wonder if anyone else has tried it? 2lbs for $25.00 Also I saw, in the same magazine (The Vitamine Shoppe) that they carry Dr. D's products as well as New Chapters. I can't remember now but was it the New Chapter line that was only going to be available through a health practitioner? If so maybe this is another source - or maybe they're just clearing out what's left of their stock. ciao, Bonny To tired to enjoy life? www.macaburner.com
Guest guest
Also, neither one of these are a good source of protein for Os. More suitable for As, since they don't need as much protein as Os. Alternate protein powder Hi Everyone! I have a question: Can O's, particularly O-ns, use spirilina? Guest guest
Thanks . I guess spirilina is out then. I've suddenly developed an abhorence for red meat - egads...it wasn't too long ago I was drooling over hamburgers and steaks for breakfast! - so I'm looking for a substitute primarily for breakfast. I don't want to increase my consumption of eggs (already eating several a day). I find the rice protein edible but gross. Any suggestions? I was thinking that the Ons bars might work for an occasional change but in the meantime... What do you other nsers eat in the am? Thanks, Bonny > Also, neither one of these are a good source of protein for Os. Guest guest
My fist meal today was salmon/rice/broccoli/flax oil. Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, I was thinking along similar thoughts and looked up Spirilina online. It is a blue-green algae, which makes it an avoid in Tier 1 for O's. Sorry. > Hi Everyone! > > I have a question: Can O's, particularly O-ns, use spirilina? Guest guest
3 eggs a day (poached) - I have an excellent " lipid profile " in spite of this. A lot of people say that dietary fat does not equate with cholesterol problems. Ann Re: Alternate protein powder Thanks . I guess spirilina is out then. Guest guest
bonny I have tried the Spirutein. Taste pretty good but there must not be too good for O's because I could feel problems with it. Rice protein does better. Guest guest
Had anyone tried the Wolfberry stuff from Young Living? It's suppose to be a source of protein. Guest guest
My old dental hygenist (sp?) used it and raved about it. He was allergic to animal protein, and was an unwilling Vegan. So not sure if that makes a difference. I like essential oils and try to incorporate them in my daily regimen.
