Guest guest
what side is it on? Sciatica - any suggestions? Hi /Kathy/ et al, I have a sciatica problem that comes and goes - may be pseudo sciatica whch means that it is really the piriformis and psoas getting tight and going into spasm thus pressing the nerve to the leg. Don't have a reason for that to happen however. May have a gait analysis done but it may be a disc. Am presently doing Pilates and think it helps to strengthen the core but I am not doing it often enough. I need a New Years Resolution in November! , you say that you need to treat the nerves - HOW? Anyone tried one of these hanging upside down contraptions to help the discs? Where do you get the Pain Relief patches? My pain is so deep inside that i am not sure it would help. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated. Ann . PS: the Muscle - EZe I have is by Biogenesis, a different company. I can't take very much of it or Mg without creating loose stools. RE: Kathy/ - Back pain- Important Info I have found various solutions to back pain that are very helpful as I myself get " neck lock-up " if I do not follow these procedures and can't even drive a car when that happens. Here is a list of things to do/take. But first of all I want to explain that the discs are NOT hard plates. They are like sacs of jelly and can be repaired with help of diet. - There is a product called Hernidisc made from the company Eagle which helps repair the disc - I take a high dose magnesium - but one especially for muscles called " Ultra Muscle-ease " by the company, Bio-Ceuticals. This is brilliant. One teaspoon of nice tangy flavoured powder in juice. This has been one of THE most helpful things. If I miss my daily dose for a few days, I'm ruined! - I have recently discovered " Pain Relief Patches " These I think are made by " Blackmores " . These are probably the most unusual and amazingly simple thing you will see in medicine. They are " stickers " in all different sizes. Apparently inside them is a special type of ceramic that puts IR heat into your muscle. They last up to 3 days and I have put all my (originally sceptical) friends onto them. They are true life savers when my neck is bad and are so easy - just find exactly where the pain is coming from and stick it on! - Of course you have all your physical therapies such as regular massage, hot-water bottles, gentle exercise, etc. The common problem with backs and necks is that it usually stems from the nerves. The nerves have standing waves of electricity in them, which in turn causes the muscles to tense up, which in turn pulls the bones structure out of place - so you have to treat the nerves, most commonly. Let me know how you get on! -----Original Message----- Kathy: Do you know what I can take for neurological back pain? I've been taking Zyflamend, which IS an excellent anti-inflammatory for the muscles. But, due to multiple back surgeries, my neck is always stiff, and my nerves spasm constantly (some of my discs are still herniated, and thus press on the nerves). I wish I could just take some magic oil to force those discs to " slide " back into place. BTW, Tea Tree Oil is excellent for muscular back pain. ANY suggestions are greatly appreciated. :>) karen
Guest guest
Ann, I saw some pain patches in a Super Wal-Mart about 3 weeks ago. I didn't look close enough. I'll check next chance I get and maybe I can tell you more. > Hi /Kathy/ et al, I have a sciatica problem that comes and goes - may be pseudo sciatica whch means that it is really the piriformis and psoas getting tight and going into spasm thus pressing the nerve to the leg. Guest guest
Does anyone know exactly what is in these pain patches? It seems that I come across so many friends with pain. When I get that sciatica, I know it's time to use my PROGEST (wild yam hormone cream). I have heard it sometimes helps men who have applied it on their wives backs, but I don't know what kind of problems or results they have been dealing with. I have seen great results with Aloe Heat lotion from Forever Living Products, but it smells so strong of eucalyptus for use when you have to be out & about. Also tried that bright BLUE STUFF from the infomercials and it's pretty good. The smell is pleasant for daytime use, but aloe actually does have great pharmacological properties like promoting granuloma (spelling?), which is cell division and natural anti-inflammatory, cools the heat of a fever and many more. Guest guest
RIGHT SIDE IS GOVERNED BY POTASSIUM, LEFT SIDE IS BY SODIUM. So you have to increase your potassium intake. love Re: Sciatica - any suggestions? Usually the right side but somethimes it shifts for a short while. Guest guest
There is a great stretch that my Osteopath showed me that worked wonders when I couldnt get to my chiropracter to get it fixed....I will try to explain it as well as I can..If you right side is whats hurting.. bend your left knee and then take your right leg at your ankle and cross it over to your left leg at the knee and then take your left leg and try to grab it mi-way between your butt and knee and pull it toward you....its sounds cumbersome and weird but it really helps!! Guest guest
Dear , I can quite understand how the muscles respond the the alkaline minerals that relax them BUT I am having trouble with the one side vs the other side part of it. This is a concept that i have not run into before although I do understand that alternate breathing works because of the + or - charge in the different nostrils - not sure which is which tho - that then affects whcih side of the brain is dominant. I am a little fuzzy on this one too! Thanks a lot, PLL Ann RE: Sciatica - any suggestions? RIGHT SIDE IS GOVERNED BY POTASSIUM, LEFT SIDE IS BY SODIUM. Guest guest
Not well known by most, but go and get the book ULTIMATE HEALING SYSTEM by DONALD LEPORE. I use to be on his program when I lived in New York. He is dead now, but people who were trained by him still practice it with great success. Re: Sciatica - any suggestions? Guest guest
Aloe and Emu Oil both go deep. Watch out for the heat though. If you have a trauma it burns like heck. I've cut it with plain Aloe Lotion. I've only used Forever Living Products Brand though. It definitely helps the pain. No attachment to you trying it. If you do, though, be sure to apply often. . . either one. Guest guest
I was away from the computer for a couple of days and missed the sciatica. After reading all this and " the rattling herniated disks " I am going to need very soon a face lift. You made me laugh so much! Thanks!
