Guest guest
Cheryl: Educate yourself! 1. It sounds as tho you have herpes....try 500mg of lysine (an amino acid) daily. I have been doing this successfully for 25+ years and it prevents outbreaks. You can NOT contract fever blisters. cold sores from dining out. Foods high in arginine can chocolate can also encourage an outbreak, along with stress and a depressed immune system. 2. HIV from a pool???? Get a grip! Chlorine is a form of bleach ....all which kills the AIDS virus. Educate yourself....this is an iirrational fear. I have worked with HIV for 15 years and believe me, I am tested frequently. Air and bleach kill this virus which is not at all strong whern exposed. Please, just avail yourself of a bit od the information that is out ther for you. And use condoms. Then enjoy your life! I am kind of afraid of public swimming pools because of the dreaded AIDS virus. I know some doctors say that you can't catch it from this way or that, but I think that they don't know enough about this disease to give a total 100% safety net for saying " don't worry about . . . Before I went on this diet for " O " , I cannot tell you how many times I have caught fever blisters from eating out in restaurants. And these weren't sleazy places or greasy spoons either. Rather, gourmet dining halls if you will. There is a string of hotels on the Kohala Coast over here on the big island that boast the best gourmet foods in the USA, where I have picked up fever-blisters from. Anyway, good luck with your low aerobic exercising. Aloha CB

Guest guest
Swimming is a great exercise, one of the best. I think the main problem is the chlorine in the pool water. Sometimes the smell is still coming out of me two days later. When you exercise the pores of your skin open up and absorb the chlorine, then they close and its trapped. Chlorine can't be very good long term. Regards . Exercising and not getting manly muscles Hi Sharon, You are correct about the swimming being a good low impact exercise program. I belonged to a gym which switched over to a salt water system instead of chlorine. Made the water feel so nice and soft, and no bleached hair. No surprise -- it was an all female gym.
