Guest guest
2 lbs ground or stew meat 1 can crushed or stewed tomatoes 1 can beans (optional) 1/2 c uncooked rice (optional) 1 T chili powder 1 T onion flakes 1 T garlic flakes 1 t paprika 1 t oregano 1 t ground cumin 1 t ground coriander 1 t cayenne (optional) 1 t jalapeno (optional) salt to taste shredded mozarella cheese Brown meat then put in slow cooker. Add tomatoes, and 1 can of water, stir. Add spices, rice and 1 c water, stir and let cook 1 hour on high. Add cooked beans, stir and let cook 1+ hour on high. Serve & sprinkle cheese on bowls of chili. == It is very spicy, but good. I used 1 lb organic bison & 1 lb turkey, and will probably skip the turkey next time. I got sleepy, but it might have been the black soy beans. Will probably leave beans out next time, too. The rice is nice, but not necessary, nor is the cheese. This is a combination of the Wicke Fowler 2-Alarm chili mix (I was guessing on amounts) and a chili casserole recipe I got off the CR4YT list (before I was " unsubscribed " !!). Just use your imagination. I added a sliced onion that I had sauteed in olive oil with some garlic, when browning meat. I might have to make another batch this weekend. <g> Enjoy, E Long in Austin
