Guest guest
Sorry, I'm not one to respond at all, actually, but this just really bothers me. From some info I found, read the following regarding the President's $7.1 billion strategy: " The president also said the United States must approve liability protection for the makers of lifesaving vaccines. He said the number of American vaccine manufacturers has plummeted because the industry has been hit with a flood of lawsuits. " Why are these manufacturers being hit with lawsuits? Because vaccines maim and kill! How can the American public just accept this kind of cr*p?! Guest guest
My mom actually was near tears today after seeing the president on TV. This is causing so much panic everywhere! Guest guest
Thanks. I am obviously not of the medical profession and am new to the vaccine " issue " . It is just amazing, though, to me, what the general populace will swallow. Guest guest
Even people who don't think like a paranoid (like me!) say that something has GOT to be up with this for Bush to be filling us so full of fear. I don't think it's simply about drug companies making money on this one. " They " know something we don't. Could some weapon have gone awry? Who knows? If anyone read the book about the Ebola virus nearly getting out here in the US (which read like fiction and was unfortunately all too true), The Hot Zone, these things can and do happen. Still - we can't do much about it so go enjoy the sunshine. It's a beautiful day here in NC! Guest guest
It is not that they know something. They want to profit from your fear in more ways than $ Power and control and $ Problem, reaction, solution Always remember that They want to do something but you will revolt So they make something happen or make you think it will happen and then you will demand exactly what they want you to demand Vaccines produced with NO liability $$$ made by those in Drug companies including those in the administration (past & present) And taking away your rights to declare martial law if they want forced vaccination and then you will need more drugs in the future >Even people who don't think like a paranoid (like me!) say that something has GOT to be up with this for Bush to be filling us so full of fear. Guest guest
Sara: Forced vaccinations is the first step. Then forced medical treatment of all kinds will follow. This could only be accomplished with the help of the congress who blatantly accepts political contributions from the medical industry. The Government sets up bureaus such as the FDA who are allowed to do their own testing, gather their own statistcs and approve products for the American People that actually cause disease. From my own study, the number one cause of disease in our society is vaccines and medicinal drugs. The political donations are astronimical, but not as high as the money used for TV advertising of these products. What is happening is an outrage; but it's only the beginning, if we don't stop it now. The day is coming, when refusing medical treatment for whatever reason, will involve us with the courts and the police. Guest guest
That is what I am afraid of! I am also afraid of the panic that they are causing. My son has asthma and allergies, he coughs from both, I am terrified that if he coughs in public that people are going to freak out. I am afraid of the isolations that they are talking about! I am scared of the government, mostly bush. -- Sara Proud Mama to Colin 12/07/99 Jack 8/07/02 --------- Re: Re: Flu Pandemic I am afraid, not of the " pandemic " but of what the government is going to do or is doing! Guest guest
Sara, I know what you mean! It is a shocker to live in " The Land Of the Free " and fear the government may force us to deliberately harm our children with forced vaccination for this stupid flu hoax and we as parents may not be able to do a thing about it. Forced isolation - I wonder what that will amount to. Lori Norse Mewsic Norwegian Forest Cats _____________________________ That is what I am afraid of! Guest guest
I haven't heard about the sideeffects of Tamiflu,Relenza. Yes, they have to be taken early. Alternative medicine is much less reliable and not tested for H5N1. Search "Sambucol", "Cystus" there had been some positive studies, but unconfirmed. Guest guest
There's some useful information in the Files and Links sections of our companion group Flu_Alternative_Medicine. Here's the link to join up: _alternative_medicine Yes, Relenza and Tamiflu both have their limitations. mauroinmune <mpoveda@...> wrote: What natural products are available to prevent or react against bird flu? Guest guest
I think jackalope also has a list for alternative medicines for flu. I'm looking into some of that as well. But my understanding is that until the flu actually makes the jump from a more transmissable from of H2H H5N1 we won't know what types of products could be useful. So far, the best advice I've heard is getting the vaccine against pneumonia. Great advice ... if you CAN get your doctor to set it up. <sigh> Since my kids are rarely sick ... and I mean they rarely even come down with the common cold and I don't do anything special ... my pediatrician is very skeptical about suddenly starting to give them prescriptions for things that there is no history or " risk " for. We homeschool so I can't even use a school situation as an excuse. And because of how healthy our kids are I'm very worried about the so- called cytokin storm potential with H5N1. Totally sucks to suddenly have it be a bad thing to have healthy kids. Kathy in FL > > What natural products are available to prevent or react against bird > flu? Somebody knows? Guest guest
Kathy in FL: I too homeschool, and my 9 yr old is extremely healthy. Very rarely gets a cold. Does have ADHD tho. I thought about asking for an RX for tamiflu or whatever else, but knowing our doctors and insurance, we wouldn't get it. So I'm stocking up on alternative items like colloidal silver throat spray, echinacea, Vit c, etc. Things we would have for a regular cold anyway (**I** get sick all of the time!). And we've had a long talk about the possible pandemic, and about how we're going to " lockdown " as soon as I hear the virus had mutated into human-to-human contagion. During our quarantine: We're planning on reading the encyclopedia every day, continue with regular school work, add more arts and crafts, dance to kids music tapes, and teach him piano. I'm stocking very healthy food (lots of dehydrated fruits and vegetables that we are accustomed to anyway) and some snacks and treats we don't get very often.
