Guest guest
it's not just an individual problem. What, if economy goes down, people start getting angry and rampant, government and laws are no longer accepted etc. ?
Guest guest
Wow, it seems that we gain five members a week now. Discussions are rapid and thought-provoking. Although I'm not near a panicked mode yet, I figured I have a good chance of surviving any bird flu should I get infected. I eat heathily and exercise regularly and dont hang out around crowded spots. I work, come home and spend what daylight I have out in my garden (we are having a three-month heat wave and today I noticed my plum and nectarine trees in bloom!) However, my husband and I talked about stocking up on food for three months. I'm not sure where we'd all the rice, pasta and canned goods, though, let alone food for the pets and additional bottled water. Not even our garage is that big. I fear more for the 20-something crowd, the people who insist on partying in large groups and who stay up all night drinking; I think that's what's referred to as " the college crowd? " My daughter fits into that category. She and her friends can stay up all night and don't hit the beds till sunrise.
Guest guest
Yes, when we hit 200 members, I whooped and emailed , and we are now up to 228! I encourage you to post our url abroad so that we can continue to grow. I hope to get members from nations around the world so that we can get lots of local news that does not make it to the international news media. My expectation is that avian flu will mutate in Asia or in Africa first. So I expect that the USA and Europe will get some weeks of warning before it hits home turf. So I expect that there will be time to stockpile. But I admit that I may be an optimist.
