Guest guest
Horror stories on health care reinforce the fact reform is correct path. April 18, 2010 Back in the 1960s, I was pregnant and my husband had no job and we had no insurance. I was not allowed to be admitted to the hospital until someone came forward and gave the hospital some money. I made a mistake. I needed hospital care, but what would have happened if no one came forward? By the time I had my second child, my husband had a good job with good insurance. No problem with either doctor bills or hospital bills, we did it right that time. In the next room a lady my husband knew (an ex-girlfriend) was being told by her insurance company that she wasn't going to be covered by them. I don't know what the problem was but on what should have been one of the happiest times of her life she was being extremely upset by her insurance company. She thought she was covered by insurance and she did nothing wrong. What happened? Please show support for the health care reform that will leave no young woman worrying about being admitted to a hospital. No woman being in the hospital and told by their health insurer, " Sorry, we will not pay. " Money should not be the important matter when we are sick; getting well and back to our families and loved ones is what is important.
