Guest guest
Cucumbers are now and AVOID for O's according to Live Right Your Type. And cabbage, I thought good for 0 Ok I DID NOT say cucumbers are good for us I said *IF* cucumbers are good (for O's) then the relish should be. .. anyway just so I don't get misinterpreted I went and looked up on dadamo's site.... cucumbers are an avoid for O's (sec and non) and Cabbage is neutral for O secretors and an avoid for non-secretors... So IMO I'd say no to the relish and depending on whether you are a nonsecretor or secretor would make the saurkraut ok or not - myself I don't eat cabbage as it *supposedly* has an adverse effect on the thyroid. Guest guest
I just looked them up in LR. Cabbage is now neutral for O secretors, avoid for O non-secretors. Cucumbers are avoids for both. --Lilla According to ER, cucumbers are fine, but cabbage is a no, no, and also vinegar. If you go by LR the new book. Cucumbers are a no, no. We can have apple cider vinegar, and most cabbage now. > Well if cucumbers are ok the relish should be but saurkraut is made from cabbage so I'd think its a nono for O's - > and aho is Bubbie? > --- Lilla Luoma --- lillabell@... Guest guest
Sauerkraut is an avoid for only O non-secs (see cabbage) and it does not contain vinegar (at least not in Hungary). With relish, it is probably the vinegar which is the worst component and you also have to check out if there are any avoid veggies or other items (cauliflower, etc.). Just one more thing: both pickles in brine and pickles in vinegar are avoid for O secs and non-secs. Rose
Guest guest
> I didn't know about the food list changes. How do I go about getting an updated list or do I have to buy the book (LR4YT) ? I have the ER4YT and have had great success, but if foods I have been eating are now avoids, I'd like to quit eating them. Thanks for your help! Guest guest
, I'm hearing that the list changes are only available 1) in the LR4YT book or by going to the www.dadama.com site and in the left hand side clicking on nutrition. For either of these for the best use and to be able to make best use of it, you need to send for the secretor test to find out if you are a secretor or a non-secretor. Better yet if you get the book you need to have a full blood serotype I think it's called done, so you can make maximum use of the book. If you are interested in getting the book, I'll be glad to send you the phone # to call for the blood test. It covers, secretor/non-secretor; MM,MN,NN; a+or-/ b+or -, and your blood type. I know there is a place in Tempe,AR that Dr D has set up for the test and it cost about $90.00, and sends you the list of what you should be eating sometime shortly, as they are updating the lists. They were going to be ready to be sent out with the results of the tests in mid-June, but they will be a little later. I'd join the LR4YT list to find out more about the information. If you don't want any more e-mail, join to not receive e-mail. That will give you a chance to see and decide for yourself. Have a good day. I have already sent my test back in for the secretor, am still waiting for the results. I hope I can find the book here locally as the stores can't seem to keep them in stock and I can't wait to eat the right foods. How often are they going to update the lists and will we continue to have to buy new books everytime they change? There has to be a better and less expensive and time consuming way than that! If I already have my type and then my secretor statis, how will I go about getting the other things tested I need without having to do it all over again? Thanks for all your info!
