Here's some more info on the hip replacement recall that a sent about a

week or so ago.

Two days ago, I was sitting here, as usual doing my computing, and a y &

Meyers Law Practices commercial came on and it talked about the recall and

for any of *us* to call for legal aid. I thought that might also interest

some of you. I went to the J & M site and found no info about the hip recall. <A

HIP REPLACEMENTS

On December 8th, 2000, Sulzer Orthopedics recalled thousands of hip implants

manufactured since 1997.  Due to a product defect, there have been reports of

a loosening of the implants after hip replacement surgery.

This problem has caused severe pain and discomfort to a number of patients

and in some cases has necessitated a new implant.

If you have had hip replacement surgery at any time since 1997 and are

experiencing any of the symptoms below you may be eligible to file a legal

claim against the manufacturer and recover monetary compensation:

pain in inner thigh or groin

pain arising from a seated position

pain with standing or weight bearing

pain when walking

buttock pain

inability to exert resistance in straight raised leg

Thus, if you or a loved one are experiencing any of these symptoms as a

result of defective hip joint replacement and would like to explore your

rights, feel free to proceed to our <A

questionnaire.</A>
