discussion list for preparedness?

Hi, I'm new.

While the articles are interesting, I was wondering if someone could

point me to a place that discusses preparedness things.

I was watching a small bit of a pandemic show on tv, and they advised

people to plan for 2 weeks of keeping kids home and to keep 2 weeks of

supplies on hand if possible.

That seems like WAY too low to me. Seems like I had heard 3 months in

other places. Anyway, there's several hundred hits when you type in

bird flu on , but most of them don't look very active or have very

many people.
