Welcome to the group. It all depends upon how worried you are. I

recommend that you begin by reading the articles archived in our site

files; try to decide how worried you are and how much you want to

invest in preparation.

One you have made that decision, you can hit the websites that others

have recommended, and you may also care to hit government websites.

I recommend that if you are going to prepare for one disaster, then

try to prepare for others too since it will take little additional

preparation. After Hurricane Katrina and the Chernobyl nuclear

disaster (which nearly happened also at Three Mile Island too), I

doubt that even those who have forgotten the 1918 flu and that houses

used to be built with sick rooms are entirely dismissing the idea of

preparation for whatever may come. You may also want to check our

site links and hit the Red Cross website.
