Guest guest
Hi, I have a friend who is 70 years old and she has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. The doctor wants her to take several expensive drugs, which she can barely afford. He also wants her to stop eating the Atkins diet which is high in red meats. His plan is no more red meats and start including more starchy vegetables in her diet again. He recommends eating only fish for her protein source. Does anyone have a clue why he would make these requests? Perhaps a the more important question is, what should she do? She is on Medicare which makes her choice of doctors and other alternative options far more narrow. She also has had diabetes, Type 1, and high blood pressure, for many years, both are hard for her to maintain at normal levels. TIA, Sheila
