Guest guest
Damn, I'm getting old! When I walk, like I should, my feet, ankles and legs cramp at night. Sometimes I have to get up 2 or 3 times to walk or stretch them out. The other night, remembering BG's post about zilling to prevent sore muscles after exercizing, I used the 6v lantern battery wired to 2 four inch square, foil covered cardboard electrodes, with wet washrag covers, and stood on them barefooted while I pc'd, for about an hour; changing polarity about every 10 minutes. Guess what. No cramps that night. Forgot the next night and the cramps were back. I could barely feel the current in my feet, (which was not uncomfortable). I might add a meter and potentiometer, so I can control the current and voltage. From what I have read, very low voltage is beneficial for prostate problems, and higher voltages are not, and this current would run right through the prostate. Any comments or suggestions? Guest guest
WEll, getting old is the general idea..having said that, the people, myself one of them who reported it, I think used the electrodes just on the bloodstream in the usual way. But this way will still hit a lot of blood as well, I would think. Soreness from exercise like lactic acid buildup and torn fibers, is one thing, cramps could be some of that or just not enough stretching the muscles, and going through a transition in exercise from sedentary to active. I had pain in feet till I started doing calf raises at the gym on a machine. I would wait for the pain to go away, then do very gently. If it came back, I'd quit or slow way down on the weight. Over about 3 years I am now pain free (age 59), and use the machine for 5 rep sets with 500 lbs of weight on my calves in addition to body weight. The machine has maxed out, it won't add any more than 500 lbs to my own weight of 210. I recommend 5 rep sets, but do about 10 of them (rather than 5 sets of 10 reps), resting inbetween. And use a weight you could do 10 reps with. Accelerate through the sticking point, and return slowly. This should build you up beyond where pains like that can affect you. Always start with calves and wrist curls. These are the points of contact with your daily life. And they are small, easy to train muscles. It will make a big difference. Then work on the lower back, slowly as before. Then the abs, then the chest, upper back, and finally the large leg muscles. That will give your heart a chance to gradually adapt. bG > >> Have a recluse bite on my finger.
