Guest guest
Since I've started drinking raw milk I've been drinking more milk than I usually have in the past about 24 to 36 oz a day. However this has led to constipation, hard dried chalk-like stool (sorry for to be so graphic), very painful. I've never had constipation in my life. I've verified it is the milk by going off it for 2 weeks and then coming back on it. I read somewhere that milk causes dehydration and for some people constipation. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution that works? Ive read eating more roughage and drinking more water both works and doesn't work, depending what expert you read. If I can't find a solution I will be forced to stop drinking raw milk and go back to the pasteurized stuff which didn't seem to present this problem. Otherwise the raw milk has been a godsend feel much better drinking it.

If you startd drinking more milk at the same time you switched to raw milk, how do you know that it's not simply the result of drinking too much milk? -- Berg bberg@... Guest guest
You are likely not digesting the milk proteins well as this is what can have the " dehydrating " effect. Two things to try are a tsp of apple cider vinegar before drinking milk as this will acidify the stomach better and assist with some of the protein breakdown. Also adding a tsp or two of gelatin to your milk will also make assimilation much much easier. I would try the gelatin first. Guest guest
I'd try culturing the milk. Also, try taking some enzymes with the milk, esp green papaya powder as it will digest protein in any ph (must be good quality) Chris _________________________________________________________________ MSN Instant Messenger now available on Australian mobile phones.
