I tried the lacto-fermented carrots recipe in NT. I used whey and my end

product was salty, though the saltiness seemed to diminish somewhat as time went

by. I made mine in November and just finished them up 2 weeks ago...they were

great! I also did saurkraut and it turned out good. This was before my

introduction to NT, I canned it after it was done. I will try it again this

summer and will not can it.
