A growing collection of vacant homes in foreclosure, coupled with a wet spring, has fueled a mosquito resurgence in the region, Dallas County health officials say. Empty homes with unkempt swimming pools have been especially to blame. " We're getting a lot of calls on vacant homes that are foreclosed on and have swimming pools that, basically, are breeding grounds for mosquitoes, " said Zachary , director of Dallas County health and human services...
