Hello, strivers for health. I was on this list about a year ago and learned so

much. I quit for a while because the reading got to be too much. I joined

again because I have a question for you all.

My husband had 4 mercury fillings put in in 1997. Immediately after getting

them he began grinding his teeth at night. That lasted for about 2 months.

Then he started getting mouth ulcers. We thought all this was from stress at

work. We moved to the country and were off flouridated water for 4 years. The

mouth ulcers became infrequent. During the last year and a half, he noticed his

gums receding. We kept thinking that our WAP diet would fix that problem.

6 months ago, we moved back to the city. Back to flouridated water. The ulcers

returned. His gums began receding at a fast and furious rate. Finally we

thought to do a search to see if the mercury fillings and receding gums were

related. Bingo. It's the only explanation we can find for his 29 year old gums

to be receding so.

We plan to get off the flouridated drinking water immediately which should help

a little. We're also leaning toward getting his fillings removed and replaced.

Do any of you have experience with this? I've read that the symptoms of mercury

toxicity can increase for a while after fillings are removed. Have any of you

experienced this? Did you eventually get better? Any thoughts or

recommendations would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Bethany
