Guest guest
Just saw news coverage on nutrigenomics at Tufts on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corp.) Were using specific foods and customized diets to cure genetic diseases. Found for example broccoli's folate helped some people with the same disease, others got worse or no better just like metabolic typing. Found quite a few links in a google search but couldn't find the CBC article. Wanita
Guest guest
, If I read correctly the testing is only $59 bucks??? Sophisticated genetic testing costs bucks and usually has to be paid out of pocket. I don't think anyone would want their health insurance companies to know any of the test results. My doc told me that genetic testing has come a long way but still needs to be prefected...maybe another 10 more years. Those were his words. -Vee > > Has anyone tried this? > > http://onepersongenetics.com/ > > The concept is very intersting and ties into a lot of the same ideas as > WAP. > > -- >

Guest guest
>If I read correctly the testing is only $59 bucks??? $59 is the downpayment. To get it analyzed the total cost is over $300. Not sure why they do it that way, you can also pay for it all upfront. >I don't think anyone would want their health insurance companies >to know any of the test results. Right. That is covered in the privacy section. >My doc told me that genetic testing has come a long way but still >needs to be prefected...maybe another 10 more years. I'm a bit of a geek and this cutting edge stuff is fascinating so I'm willing to take a chance and see what they have to say. Worst case, it is just a cheek swab.
