Guest guest
One of our local supermarkets is providing such towelettes - 1 to a customer - to wipe the cart handles. This is a good idea. Lee <jackalope_lepus@...> wrote: Thanks, . I thought that that was a very good question. Let me add that I always carry alcohol towelettes with which to clean off shopping cart handles (which have been found to be worse than public toilet seats), public library computers, etc.> It's the soap and the water that do the job. Actually, warm water is the best since it's kinder to the skin. There's no evidence that I'm aware of which says hot water is better than cold water and vice versa. Guest guest
Well, it's not as though it's taken the state by storm. I just saw it at one place. LOL. But it is a mighty good idea and I wish more markets would do this. As to CA being advanced .... well, we have a muscle man for governor, so I don't know.Lee <jackalope_lepus@...> wrote: I regret to say that I live in one of the more backward regions of the US which has yet to think of this. Big Pharma is out in droves; they want desperately to maintain the Ka-ching! Machine they have developed over the years with seniors all over the world being utterly dependent on their wares. I’ll vote “no” on Prop 78. Anything endorsed by Big Pharma can’t be good.
Guest guest
The Gov. isn''t running for re-election in the election tomorrow. It's a special thing in which he's trying to get the voters to approve various items of his agenda. Lawmakers in CA were livid when he proposed this special election. The late C. Kilmer Myers, Episcopal Bishop of California, once said to conference participants, "You know, folks, California has a reputation for being a little wierd." We all chuckled knowingly.Lee <jackalope_lepus@...> wrote: And that is the truth. The phone has been ringing all day with political calls. The sooner that Big Pharma is reigned in, the better off our country will be. Official Medicine, however, will implode before anything changes. You wait and see. Guest guest
Yes, it has run amok; but while it's been doing that it also produced many life-saving medications; so everything about it can't be all that bad. Granted that they're into it for the money and prestige, but we still can't deny some of the good. Not everything is either all good or all bad. I hope Merck gets sued out of existence because of Vioxx.
