I am not much of a cook and find it difficult to plan meals for just myself

so i compromise. But here is a basics for my most commonly eaten items.

Pastured eggs- fried, scrambled, boiled - any ol' way

Bacon mostly from Natures that is uncured but i will eat regular bacon too

Bread -Alvarado St. bakery. sounds like it is harvested before it turns into

grains IE: sprouted.

Mayo-- I gave up on making my own and so buy from the HFS. The jar right now

if from Mystic Lake Dairy

Salad Dressings. I use a local brand called Toby's and have no idea of its

availability elsewhere

Milk is sometimes fresh raw and sometimes grocery store. I hope to

experiment soon with making my own butter

Yogurt - sometimes from raw milk and sometimes i use Stoneyfarms full fat

yogurt. Either way i can strain this for the whey. Add some berries,

bananas etc or just dump into the blender for smoothie

Field greens/salad with egg, cheese, meat, dressing -whatever happens to be

there

I like a veggie soup topped with cream frache

fish such as salmon once a week or so also crab and scallops

chicken - fresh pastured but grocery store in a pinch

I love wine and it is my downfall. My fast food meals are generally

burgers. I also have a thing for crunchy pea salad - would like to find a

healthy version of this.

I do make chicken stock, freeze it and add it to anything that i cook. My

beef stock tasted awful.

So, for me it is finding easy things and compromise. I do try " bulk type "

meals that i can freeze
