Guest guest
For the most part I use the fat to cook the meat it came from. Lard for pork, tallow for beef, etc. I also throw it into the pot with meat and veggies for soup or stew. Enjoy! ;-) Judith Alta -----Original Message----- From: Knapinsky, Sophia [mailto:sknapinsky@...] Chris.. you sure do eat alot of food. but it sounds tasty! one more question - - how many people here use lard. i rendered my own lard some time ago (when I bought a share of a hog) and I still have it.. I have not used it much frankly because I'm not too sure when to use it. For instance, when I make eggs, I use butter, when I sautee veggies I use olive oil.. what cooking techniques and foods are best used with LARD? thanks.
