Guest guest
Hi All, With all the questions and heat we all get to take from family and friends about fat, cholesterol and the like, I thought you guys would appreciate this. The point not being to 'show off' my numbers but to demonstrate the so called " link " between dietary cholesterol and a bad lipid profile does - not - exist, in theory nor in reality. I had a quick lipid profile done this weekend I've shared the results with you below, so you can see that someone who actually recommends this stuff is not full of it but in fact you can have good lipid profiles and eat; ONLY full fat milk (from the farm its about 4.5% compared to grocery at 3%) ONLY REAL butter about 10 pounds of whole milk cheese a month. 4-6 eggs daily. About 35 a week. etc... Total Cholesterol = 144 (ideal 180-200) HDL (good) Cholesterol = 58 (ideal >50) LDL (bad) Cholesterol = 84 (ideal <100) Triglycerides = 58 (ideal <100) Cholesterol/HDL Ratio = 2.94 HDL Percentage = 34% LDL/HDL Risk Ratio = 1.71 The ratios for this day and age are impressive. In my opinion the Total Cholesterol is Too LOW yes that's right Too LOW. So I'll be making some appropriate efforts to adjust that. However as you can see real, nourishing, fat full foods don't ruin your blood lipid profile. Apparently they make your Cholesterol TOO LOW! Oh my stop the presses! Enjoy!
