Hi,

I soak beans, in warm water for the NT suggested time using lemon

juice or whey, yet I still find beans hard to digest. Have any of you

found this to be true?

I wonder if maybe some people are simply not able " digestion wise " to

handle beans. Could it be the sugars? I keep all my sugar consumtion

low, including fruits. However when I eat chilie, which contains

tomatoes and pinto beans I suppose it is fairly high in sugars? This

would be true with NT baked beans too.

I have even tried taking a digestive enzyme, before and near the end

of the meal containing legumes, and they help a little, but don't

completely eliminate the problem of excess gas. Fortunately they do

not make me feel sick and I have no pain.

I have been trying to elimimate supplements of HCL and digestive

enzymes from my diet, but every time I do my rosacea comes back. It

looks like I am stuck with them for a while longer, maybe forever!

Have any of you been able to get to the point where you could stop

taking them?

Since changing my diet to include more healthy fats, mostly in raw

dairy and some coconut oil,I have fewer over all problems with

digestion.Lacto-fermented vegetables have also helped. It has taken

me a couple of years to see big changes. Some improvements come

quickly, some more slowly. It is wonderful to no longer suffer with

IBS and candida.
