Guest guest
<<<Thirty years ago, the inhabitants of a tiny Ecuadorean town caused a worldwide stir among scientists astonished at their extraordinary longevity. What was the secret of their long life, and has age continued to be kind to them? Mark Honigsbaum visits Vilcabamba and finds some truly ancient people - and a few whose stories don't quite add up.>>> the article can be found at - http://www.guardian.co.uk/weekend/story/0,3605,894663,00.html thought this would be interesting as it gives certain hints/clues to these people's longevity... what struck me was the fact that their water is very magnesium rich, they walk everywhere so they're obviously very active and their environment and produce are pollution free.... the longevity issue, for me, is less striking than the fact that they seem to be free of the degenerative diseases which plague western/industrialised societies.
