Just remember that Puy lentils don't disintegrate, but will retain their shape

no matter how long you cook them. Also, the water turns black. <g> Barley's

easy, just throw a handful into some soup and hey prest, 30 minutes later...you

can do the same with oats, although of course the more you put in, the thicker

it'll get. I prefer my oats as oatcakes, personally, as I don't particularly

care for how they change the taste of soups. Not that i eat them any more...
